Oilsearch assists clients with licence application and exploration planning, providing a valuable insight into both frontier and established oil regions. 

Multi Client Surveys

Oilsearch regional surveys are normally flown in conjunction with Government licensing rounds, providing data at reduced cost compared to proprietary data.

Proprietary Surveys

Commissioned directly by oil companies, either over already licensed areas or in response to licence rounds when a significant commercial advantage is sought.

Joint Industry Projects

Performed jointly with other geophysical service companies, offering an integrated product with multiple technologies (coring, gravity, seismic).

Risk Sharing

Joint exploration projects, contributing data and/or funding with participation through to drilling exploration wells.

Over 300,000 kilometres of survey data has been acquired by Seepfinder systems world wide and for a client base of over 30 of the world’s major oil companies.

Surveys have been performed in Africa, Europe, USA, Asia and Australasia, and over 140,000 line kilometres of data has been recorded in the UKCS and Europe in recent years, mainly in association with licence rounds. Size has varied from large, multi client surveys in frontier areas where little or no geophysical data existed, down to small, highly detailed proprietary surveys, often associated with drilling or seabed coring.
